My opinion on getting into jobs

I think that getting into any job that you may desire requires good connections with people as its easier to get into a desired field if you have connections with people who are already in the field that you may want to work in. Sure, qualifications are extremely important for certain jobs but some you can easily get in without the need of one if you have good connections.

Job Application Evidence

Social Media Manager

I have found a job on Indeed, which is for a Social Media Manager position, this is where I get to improve their social media presence online in order to obtain more clients which in return the company will get more economic profit in return.

I have sent them my CV in which I believe that I am a suitable candidate for this job role.  I have good communication skills and I also know how to film promotional videos that grabs people's attention and I can also come up with creative camera shots, that can provide a different perspective.

I had to answer some questions about my level of education and the amount of experience I have with the job role. The company has also asked me when I am available for an interview in which I've stated 3 dates in which I'm available.

Last but not least I have submitted my application and have high hopes that I do get accepted

Conceptual Digital Designer

I have also applied for this job position which is for the Conceptual Digital Designer where I get to work with AI and also create visual concepts and also provide visual communication which is something that I'm good at

The process is the same for the last job that I've applied to.

Response from the recruiters

Unfortunately, the jobs that I have applied for did not respond, I have not received any response from the companies that I have applied to. My theory is that these jobs have high competition, meaning that many people are chasing the exact same jobs as I applied for, which makes it difficult for recruiters to respond to everyone that has applied. I have researched online that many companies now-a-days use something called Applicant Tracking System which is a software that companies use to filter out resumes, if the software does not detect any key words that match the criteria of the job then those resumes will be canceled out.

However, I will keep trying to share resumes online and offline in hopes of acquiring a job in my desired field, I have high hopes as my chances may be low but never 0.

Other routes after my educational establishment

I have not decided fully on what pathway or routes I should consider taking after my educational establishment. I personally believe that University is something that I will not be taking part of as I don't think I will benefit much from it. I've always hated studying so university is something that will not appeal to me. Sure, university can open doors and can lead to many life changing experiences, but it also depends on the degree that you study at university. Some subjects should not be degrees as you won't benefit much from them. And Im not planning on becoming a doctor or any major job role such as  an engineer, a lawyer etc in which of course its important to have a degree in.

I am still young, I have yet to experience life, and making major choices in my life without any sort of experience can lead to unwanted consequences or pleasant ones. However, I have learned that life is about taking risks and making choices and so I have to start somewhere. But at the same time I have learned that I have to be careful with anything I may chose as it can lead to unwanted results.

My plan

Im thinking of getting a regular 9-5 job at a retail company or anything that pays a decent amount of money where I can comfortably live off for the moment, with that money I could then use it to get more life experience in other fields of careers such as becoming a gym coach, or any other opportunities that I may encounter. I believe that trying a bit of everything can develop a wider platelet in which is beneficial for making the choices that sit right with me, the choices that makes me comfortable pursuing, rather than chasing one career for years and years which can lead to an unsatisfied life. The chances of one shot hitting the target is low but the chances of multiple shots hitting the target is high.

I have decided that taking a gap year will be the most beneficial option for me, as I do not like to rush into choices that could possibly ruin my life. With this gap year I will experiment with different career choices and see where it takes me. Life is a journey constructed by choices and risks.

List of things that I will do after college:

Look for a job: Much like I did with the recent jobs that I've applied for, I will try my best to find a job that pays a normal wage. The median gross annual earnings for full time employees in the UK were £37,430 according to the Office for National Statistics. The median hourly pay is £18.64. This will be even easier since I will not work part time but full time.

Save money: I will plan on saving money for courses such as becoming a nutritionist or becoming a gym coach, I have found my passion for understanding the science of body changes to certain stimuli.

Live Life: Life is all about meeting opportunities and taking them on.
